Our business is made up of many incredible people who all bring their own unique qualities, experiences and views, reflecting the communities in which we work. We believe that everyone should work in an environment where they can flourish, regardless of their background. Quite simply, great people make our company great.
We are proud to be one of the biggest supporters of the Prince’s Trust’s Get into Retail programme. We work closely with them to offer 16-25 year olds a programme that is carefully designed to help them build confidence, learn new skills and gain valuable experience. Young people benefit and we gain from a new pool of talent.
Since 2014, over 1000 young people have been supported through the programme in 15 cities across the UK, with over 70% going on to get jobs with us.
TK Maxx and Homesense are proud to be the official sponsors of the Prince’s Trust Awards, which recognise vulnerable young people who have succeeded against the odds, improved their chances in life and had a positive impact on their local community, as well as people who have played a part in supporting the work of The Trust.
We live and work in cities, towns and villages from Aberdeen in the UK to Zabrze, in Poland. We believe each of our associates brings something unique to our collective culture – a diversity of experience, gender, ethnicity, age, viewpoint and more. Diversity isn’t something we tick off a checklist, it’s something we’re proud of and celebrate.
At the heart of our business is treating all of our customers and associates with dignity and respect and we have a long history, both as a retailer and an employer, of valuing diversity. We’re committed to creating an environment of inclusion in our business that reflects the wonderful diversity of our customer population, wherever we operate.
