Our Comic Relief Partnership

£34.5 million – that’s how much you’ve helped raise since our partnership with Comic Relief started over 20 years ago. This has helped to improve the lives of more than 1.7 million children in the UK and around the world. Hurrah!

The customers and associates of Homesense and TK Maxx have helped many incredible projects over the years. In the UK, we’ve supported projects like Homestart to build parents' confidence and resilience, enabling them to form better relationships with their children. In Somalia, we’ve worked with projects like Adeso to deliver clean water directly to homes, schools, and health clinics in rural communities.

These are just some of the many ways our partnership has impacted and transformed the lives of millions of children and young people. Together, we have the power to make a big difference.

Who does the money help?

Meet Mehmet

Mehmet is 18 and grew up in London. He’s currently in his first year at Loughborough University, studying chemistry.

Growing up in London, Mehmet would regularly experience intimidating behaviour and hear stories about knife and gun crime.

One day while walking through a park, he discovered a Steel Warriors outdoor gym where a calisthenics session was taking place.

Steel Warriors are an innovative organisation that melts down seized knives and transforms them into outdoor gyms. They support young people affected by crime, violence and social exclusion to develop the skills and confidence they need to build positive futures.

Calisthenics and Steel Warriors soon became his passion, community and safe space. He credits his love of the sport with a big improvement in his mental and physical health.

“Through coaching other people, I figured out that I love teaching people and now I’m on the route to become a teacher. It’s shaped me into someone I can be proud of.”

Where does the money go?

£3 could help one mum-to-be attend a Saturday Soup session, giving them a chance to connect with other mums and reduce loneliness.

£5 could help feed a child for a day at a community hub during school holidays, stopping them from going hungry.

£20 could provide an LGBTQI refugee with a crucial call to a specialised LGBTQI helpline, helping them feel heard by people who understand them.
