Our aim is to help vulnerable children and young people achieve their full potential in our local communities focusing on those facing challenges with health, education and poverty. We do this by partnering with local and national charities.
Diversity Role Models
Diversity Role Models’ vision is a world where everyone embraces diversity and can thrive. They’re committed to fostering an LGBT+ inclusive environment where students are empowered to embrace difference and end bullying. They work with primary and secondary schools to provide training and resources, embedding inclusion and building empathy.
The TK Maxx and Homesense Foundation is supporting Diversity Role Models’ work in schools, helping to increase the number of workshops they deliver which promote more inclusive attitudes and behaviours among school children.
The Diana Award’s mission is to foster, develop and inspire positive change in the lives of young people. Through their anti-bullying and mentoring work, they aim to create a change in attitudes and behaviours, as well as guiding change for some of the UK’s most vulnerable young people. Their Award programme recognises the young people driving selfless change across the world.
The TK Maxx and Homesense Foundation is supporting the Diana Award’s delivery of school workshops, training students to tackle homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying.
Homesense is proud to partner with The Princes Trust to support vulnerable young people to achieve their potential in local communities across the UK. Since 2016, together with our customers, we’ve raised £750k for the Prince’s Trust. Funds raised support the Achieve Programme, a personal development course aimed to re-engage 13 to 19-year-olds with education.
In 2018, our foundation granted over 450 applications to support local UK charities that are important to our associates, and support our mission of helping vulnerable children and young people achieve their potential.
Grants have helped children with moderate and severe learning difficulties, children and families who are affected by terminal illness or death of a loved one and more.
The T.K.Maxx and Homesense Foundation is a partner of The British Red Cross’ Disaster Relief Alliance. The fund helps with investigation into ground-breaking global emergency response strategies and has supported emergencies such as the Indonesia Earthquake and Tsunami appeal.
Some of the emergencies we’ve also supported include the London Fire Relief Fund following events at Grenfell Tower, Hurricane Irma Appeal and the UK Solidarity Fund in response to UK terror attacks.
