Corporate Responsibility - September 2021

When you buy from our limited edition National Geographic range, you help raise money for our amazing charity partner, The Prince’s Trust.
At least £1.25 from every item sold helps disadvantaged young people succeed via Achieve – a personal development and employability skills course which provides a unique offering for 11 to 19 year olds; a practical approach to learning which supports more young people to fulfil their potential.
Over £1 million has been raised since Homesense's national charity partnership with The Prince's Trust began in 2016. Together, we have helped more than 1,900 young people in local communities to develop the skills and confidence needed to engage and succeed in education.
So, get your paws on notebooks made with recycled paper, reusable water bottles, organic cotton totes and so much more. And you too can help more young people succeed. Now that’s a fab find!

Here’s what the Achieve Programme graduates have to say…

Sofia, Achieve Programme Graduate
“I didn’t like school and only started the Achieve Programme when my teacher suggested it. I feel it taught me a lot of things that I wouldn’t have learnt elsewhere, like how to prepare for job interviews. Achieve helped me to realise that I want to be a social worker and I’m really excited to be starting my college course in health and social care in September.”

Mohammed, Achieve Programme Graduate
“Managing money was the most helpful part of the course and it felt really different to what I would usually learn in a classroom. I now feel more confident and find it easy to make friends. In September, I’m hoping to start at a new football academy but in the meantime, I want to do more courses with The Prince’s Trust.”

Topaz, Achieve Programme Graduate
“School felt manic and hectic, but there were only 10 people in my Achieve class so I got much more individual attention from my teachers. I really enjoyed the project-based work which allowed us to develop our teamwork skills in a more relaxed and calm environment. I felt like I could express myself more easily and developed more confidence. I’ve applied to do Health and Social Care at college because my Grandma was a Social Worker and it’s my dream to follow in her footsteps and help people.”
